AMS 22nd Symposium on Boundary layers and Turbulence

AMS 22nd Symposium on Boundary layers and Turbulenceevent picture
You are welcome to join us for the 22nd Symposium on Boundary layers and Turbulence, organized by The American Meteorological Society (AMS). The conference coincides with the 32nd Conference of Agricultural and Forest Meteorology and the Third Conference on Biosciences. All three events are focusing on atmospheric turbulence and energy flux.

From June 20 to 24
Location: Salt Lake City, UT, USA

Since Kipp & Zonen manufactures several atmospheric science instruments, such as the LAS and XLAS high quality Scintillometers for measuring atmospheric turbulence and evapo-transpiration, we believe this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.

Why meet us?
Our scientist, who is specialized in boundary layer meteorology, will be there to discuss your applications and measuring problems. He is available for advice and he’s most interested in your feedback.

Our scientist will be accompanied by a delegate from our US Sales Office, who will be supervising our display in the front lobby. Of course he too will be available for discussions on applications and requirements, explanation of our instruments, or just a friendly chat.

What’s new?
You can be present at the launch of our new carbon fibre XLAS MkII, our complete Evapo-Transpiration monitoring system providing field observations of path average energy fluxes using the scintillometry technique. This carbon fibre XLAS MkII will be lighter than the original XLAS and it won’t be so affected by temperature. It will have a built-in GPS, and all the advantages of the LAS MkII digital electronics with built-in data logger, and improved stable optics.

If you are involved in boundary layer interactions, evaporation / irrigation, turbulence (including defense and laser propagation), plant interactions, interaction of atmosphere with the soil or radiation flux (solar), the XLAS MkII is certainly worth exploring.

What else?
Apart from this new XLAS you will have an opportunity to examine the LAS, our CNR4 and NRLite2 net radiometers, our UV radiometers, and our PQS1 quantum sensor.

So, be sure to drop by. We welcome your questions and observations.
