BGS Solar Summit
From 20 – 21 November 2017 the Sheraton Tunis Hotel & Towers in Tunis will be the venue of the 2nd BGS Solar Summit. Kipp & Zonen, represented by our Sales Office in France, gladly takes the opportunity to participate in this summit. We will have a tabletop presentation in the exhibition room and we hope to see you there!

Soiling is a big problem for Solar Plants as it has a great impact on the plant’s performance. Cleaning all the arrays of PV panels of an average solar plant is a labor intensive and costly exercise, even if you’re using a sophisticated automated robot system. Until now you had no other option than to clean your panels at regular intervals, but DustIQ is going to change all that!
Kipp & Zonen proudly presents a new, revolutionary system to monitor soiling in real-time, based on unique Optical Soiling Measurement (OSM). So, now you can schedule a cleaning run when it is most beneficial and cost-effective.
When we launched DustIQ at Intersolar in Munich earlier this year visitors were really impressed by this smart solution, especially in comparison to traditional systems with a reference PV panel that needs to be kept clean all the time. DustIQ does not require any maintenance; you just clean it when you clean the arrays of panels that it is monitoring.

Also new: the RT1 rooftop system.
2017 also is the year we developed a new smart monitoring system for rooftop PV: the RT1. Its unique design, Modbus output and plug-in temperature sensor make it a complete monitoring solution for a very modest price. RT1 is the perfect solution for monitoring the efficiency of commercial rooftop PV installations. You’ll find it a much better option than a reference cell!
RaZON+
In 2016 we launched RaZON+, an innovative and user friendly turn-key solution providing all components of solar irradiance, such as Direct Normal (DNI), Diffuse Horizontal (DHI) and calculated Global Horizontal (GHI), as well as sunshine duration. Particularly interesting features of RaZON+ are the maintenance free Gear Drive sun tracker and the anti-soiling Smart pyrheliometer design.
