About PV Operations Europe 2018
PV Operations Europe 2018 offers a variety of presentations, (plenary) sessions, workshops and networking opportunities for all those involved in solar energy. Some of the focused topics for the 2018 agenda are maximizing plant performance and asset profitability, optimizing PPA profitability, reviving or repowering aging plants, overcoming component failures and energy storage. You can choose from 3 rooms, i.e. ‘PV’, ‘Wind’ and ‘Energy Storage’, but you can also attend O&M sessions as well as Asset Management sessions. Besides, PV Operations Europe 2018 offers a one day Energy Storage Workshop for all to attend.
This year’s slogan is ‘Optimise Every kWh – Deliver for better PV plant performance’.
What can you expect from Kipp & Zonen?
Kipp & Zonen will be represented by Jan-Willem Sips, our Business Developer, and also by Rolf Gengenbach, our distributor in Germany. Jan-Willem will be giving a presentation titled
"Performance Ratio Measurements for Optimising Asset Management".
This presentation includes three major topics:
- Understanding the importance of correct measurements
- Learning about the economics of satellite and pyranometer irradiance measurements
- How to optimise panel cleaning intervals by adequate soiling measurement

Kipp & Zonen has developed a new, revolutionary system to monitor soiling in real-time, based on unique Optical Soiling Measurement (OSM). This enables you to schedule a cleaning run when it is most beneficial and cost-effective.
When we launched DustIQ at Intersolar Europe last year visitors were really impressed by this smart solution, especially in comparison to traditional systems with a reference PV panel that needs to be kept clean all the time. A clear benefit of DustIQ is that it does not require any maintenance; just clean it when you clean the arrays of panels that it is monitoring.

RT1 rooftop PV monitoring system.
In 2017 we developed the new smart monitoring system for rooftop PV: the RT1. Its unique design and plug-in temperature sensor make it an easy to install monitoring system for a very modest price.
