On 11 and 12 April InterMET Asia will take place for the 5th time. It is Asia’s only dedicated meteorology event and the first outside the Western Hemisphere, bringing together the entire ecosystem for the Asian meteorology industry under one roof. What is new in solar radiation measurement?
At the MTX in Amsterdam, taking place in October last year, we launched our new SUV meters.The new SUV series offers a measurement solution for every part of the ultraviolet solar radiation spectrum. The SUV5 total UV radiometer has been re-engineered into dedicated UVA, UVB and UVE (UV Index) models thus constituting a range that is smarter than any alternative; thanks to the latest detector technology, digital signal processing and Modbus® output. Our unique UVIATOR software improves measurement results by correcting for solar angle and ozone SUV5 is a general-purpose instrument eminently suitable for meteorological applications. The high quality dome and diffuser warrant optimum directional response. A custom-designed optical filter ensures that the instrument responds to the total of both UVA and UVB radiation. The photodiode generates a voltage output linearly proportional to the UV intensity.
The advantages of the new SUV series are that these are Smart instruments with low power consumption. Besides, you won’t need to change the desiccant for the next 10 years. Also the SUV series comes with a 5 years warranty period.

In 2016 we launched RaZON+, an innovative and user friendly turn-key solution providing all components of solar irradiance, such as Direct Normal (DNI), Diffuse Horizontal (DHI) and calculated Global Horizontal (GHI), as well as sunshine duration.
Particularly interesting features of RaZON+ are the maintenance free Gear Drive sun tracker and the anti-soiling Smart pyrheliometer design.
