Published: Tuesday, December 7, 2010 Thanks to feedback from our customers we have improved the programming software for the LOGBOX SD data logger. Now, it’s possible to connect one additional instrument to the data logger in combination with a 10K thermistor. Previously 6 out of the 8 inputs could be used to connect analog signal outputs or temperature sensors. With the new software version, all 8 input channels can be used for 10K thermistor temperature measurements. As a result, an additional instrument can be connected to the data logger.

The two additional dedicated inputs, AIN 7 and AIN 8, could only be used for a 12Bit, 3V range in the past. Which is perfect for the Kipp & Zonen UVS range of instruments. Unfortunately these two inputs were not suitable for low level analog signal outputs or for performing temperature measurements. With the new software version, all 8 input channels can be used for 10K thermistor temperature measurements.

The following features have been added to the LOGBOX SD programming software:

  • A 10K thermistor can now be connected to analogue inputs 7 and 8. This allows for the connection of one additional instrument to the LOGBOX SD.
  • New instruments, including the PQS 1, have been added to the configuration menus.
  • The process of selecting the instruments has been made easier and more clear.
  • Export of data in Excel format has been improved. Previous issues with incorrect formatting of date notation with certain local date settings have been resolved.
  • The programming software is now compatible with Windows 7 (32bit).
