Brewer Network for Vietnam

For several years the Aero-Meteorological Observatory of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Vietnam has been planning to improve and upgrade their monitoring stations at Sapa, Hanoi and Tan Son Hoa and this is now under way. Part of the project is to replace their old Russian instruments for measuring total ozone column and ultraviolet radiation with the Brewer MkIII.
Sapa is in the mountains of north-west Vietnam near to the border with China. Hanoi, of course is the capital city. The Tan Son Hoa station is close to Ho-Chi-Minh City, which is over 1,700 km south of Hanoi.
The 3 Brewers will be shipped at the end of this month and our Brewer specialist, Arjan Hoogendoorn, will visit Vietnam for three weeks to carry out installation, commissioning and operator training at each site. This project is being managed by our distributor in Vietnam, HYMETCO who are based in Hanoi.
