Campbell Scientific Africa installs five Solar Prospecting Stations in Botswana and LesothoOur SOLYS 2 sun tracker is the basis of many solar radiation monitoring stations around the world. These are related to solar energy generating projects. Campbell Scientific Africa (CS Africa) recently installed two SOLYS 2 Solar Prospecting Stations in Botswana and three in Lesotho. All 5 sun trackers are equipped with a CHP 1 pyrheliometer and two CMP 11 Pyranometers, one of which is shaded, to monitor direct, global and diffuse solar radiation. |

Online data of a CMP 11 pyranometer at Bakker & CoSince 2012 the weather station at the facility of Bakker & Co includes a Kipp & Zonen pyranometer. They have chosen a CMP 11 because it corresponds with the meteorological network of the Netherlands. But also because of the waterproof socket that allows for wide variety of applications and years of usability with little maintenance. |
