What’s new in 2019?
We are pleased to inform you that both the Kipp & Zonen Sales Office in the US and the US branch of G. Lufft Mess- und Regeltechnik AG, have been brought together under the umbrella of OTT HydroMet, located in Sterling, Virginia. This means that in 2019 we do not only offer you the Kipp & Zonen high quality, accurate instruments for solar radiation measurement you are no doubt familiar with, we also intend to show you a variety of Lufft products.
The Kipp & Zonen products we recommend for the solar industry are our CMP and Smart SMP series pyranometers, the CHP1 and SHP1 pyrheliometers and the SOLYS sun tracker. DustIQ, the revolutionary soiling alert system!
It’s a known fact that soiling of solar panels has a great impact on the plant’s performance. As you may already know Kipp & Zonen has a new product called DustIQ. As its name suggests DustIQ monitors real-time the soiling of your solar panels via a revolutionary system based on unique Optical Soiling Measurement (OSM).
DustIQ enables you to schedule a cleaning run when it is most beneficial and cost-effective. So DustIQ helps you decide when to clean your solar panels and thus to maximize the performance ratio of your plant.
DustIQ is a smart solution, especially in comparison with traditional systems that uses a reference PV panel that needs to be kept clean all the time. A clear benefit of DustIQ is that it does not require any maintenance; just clean DustIQ when you clean the arrays of solar panels.
RT1 rooftop PV monitoring system
In 2018 more and more customers discovered RT1, our new smart monitoring system for rooftop PV. Its unique design and plug-in temperature sensor make RT1 an easy to install monitoring system for a very modest price.
