Invitation to WFES in Abu Dhabi

A few weeks and then WFES will start in Abu-Dhabi, UAE. I would personally like to invite you to visit our booth. As the responsible Sales Director I look forward to this event because it is a unique international hub in future energy, where it is guaranteed to introduce Kipp & Zonen’s innovations, meet experts and create opportunities and connections.
We will have our new SOLYS Gear Drive sun tracker suitable for harsh environments on display as well as a compact weather station and our smart pyranometers range. We see many challenges in the MENA region for dust. Did you know we offer ventilation units? Ventilation of radiometers improves the reliability and accuracy of the measurement by reducing dust, raindrops and dew on the dome. With thermopile-based instruments ventilation stabilises the temperature of the radiometer and suppresses thermal offsets.
This year I will also make a presentation at the Techtalk, on Monday 18 January at 2:15 PM, about solar radiation measurement for Solar Energy applications. Learn what is important in solar irradiance measurements in solar energy projects. Find optimal solutions and systems for PV, CPV and CSP projects. Solar radiation is the input for all solar energy generation systems. Measuring solar irradiance provides knowledge to make important decisions on future energy yield, efficiency, performance and maintenance, crucial factors for investments! This presentation provides helpful guidelines for Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal projects, including practical information on site prospecting and the efficiency monitoring of solar power plants.
