World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2018event picture
From 15 – 18 January 2018 Abu Dhabi will once again host the annual WFES. Kipp & Zonen is pleased to take this opportunity to be part of this key global event dedicated to advancing renewable energy and clean technologies. This year we will showcase our new DustIQ soiling monitoring system and our successful all-in-one solar monitoring station RaZON+. Welcome to our booth!

From January 15 to 18
Location: Abu Dhabi

The annual World Future Energy Summit (WFES) is the foremost global platform dedicated to advancing renewable energy and clean technology and a key opportunity to discover new solutions to the world’s growing energy challenges. Located in Abu Dhabi, WFES is a business-first exhibition which brings together thousands of decision makers, policy-makers, project developers, distributors, innovators, investors, purchasers and media from across the globe to source cutting-edge technologies, network with solution providers and do business. The World Future Energy Summit Conference is carefully researched and designed to pinpoint opportunities for growth and profitability, and provide attendees with access to the best thinking, best practices, and innovations in clean energy deployment.

What can Kipp & Zonen offer you?

You probably know Kipp & Zonen for its top-quality, very accurate solar radiation measuring instruments, such as the CMP and Smart SMP series pyranometers, the CHP1 and SHP1 pyrheliometers and the SOLYS sun tracker range.

But have you ever asked yourself why high measurement accuracy is so important? As the experts in solar radiation measurement, Kipp & Zonen can explain to you why accurate measurement of the solar irradiance is essential for finding optimal locations, helping investment decisions, maximizing operating efficiency, scheduling maintenance, monitoring performance and improving technology.

New at Kipp & Zonen: DustIQ, the revolutionary soiling alert system!

Soiling is a big problem for Solar Plants as it has a great impact on the plant’s performance. Cleaning all the arrays of PV panels of an average solar plant is a labor intensive and costly exercise, even if you’re using a sophisticated automated robot system. Until now you had no other option than to clean your panels at regular intervals, but DustIQ is going to change all that!

Kipp & Zonen proudly presents a new, revolutionary system to monitor soiling in real-time, based on unique Optical Soiling Measurement (OSM). So, now you can schedule a cleaning run when it is most beneficial and cost-effective.

When we launched DustIQ at Intersolar in Munich in 2017 visitors were really impressed by this smart solution, especially in comparison to traditional systems with a reference PV panel that needs to be kept clean all the time. DustIQ does not require any maintenance; you just clean it when you clean the arrays of panels that it is monitoring.

DustIQ helps you decide when and where to clean your solar power plant and maximize the performance ratio.

RaZON+

In 2016 we launched RaZON+, a unique system providing everything you need to accurately monitor solar irradiance. This innovative and user friendly turn-key solution provides all components of solar irradiance, such as Direct Normal (DNI), Diffuse Horizontal (DHI) and calculated Global Horizontal (GHI), as well as sunshine duration.

RaZON+ has an integrated data logger and a web interface that allows you to check the system and view real-time data with your smart phone, tablet or laptop. Particularly interesting features of RaZON+ are the maintenance free Gear Drive sun tracker and the anti-soiling Smart pyrheliometer design.

Would you like to see for yourself? Please visit Kipp & Zonen at booth # 7500.

You can find us in the exhibition hall. Our experts will be available to answer any questions you might have about solar monitoring. How it helps your plant's efficiency and how it gives you the data to have a reliable analysis of your plant's yield? You can take a look at the DustIQ and RaZON+ and discuss the applications of these systems with our exhibition crew. Of course they will also be very interested in your insights on solar radiation monitoring, so please share your thoughts and experiences or just drop by for a friendly chat.
