What’s new in 2019?
We are pleased to inform you that for just over a year now Kipp & Zonen has been part of the Meteorology division of OTT HydroMet. This opens up the possibility of a joined booth with other OTT HydroMet companies offering you the combined strength and expertise of leaders in Solar Energy and a variety of related fields. At the Intersolar Europe we will be sharing a booth with G. Lufft Mess- und Regeltechnik AG.
So we will not just show you the Kipp & Zonen high quality, accurate instruments for solar radiation measurement you are no doubt familiar with, we also intend to display various Lufft products. What’s more, we can offer you one stop shopping and integrated solutions.
The Kipp & Zonen products we recommend for the solar industry are our CMP and Smart SMP series pyranometers, the CHP1 and SHP1 pyrheliometers and the SOLYS sun tracker. The Smart pyranometers in particular are a perfect match for solar energy systems as these pyranometers have digital signal processing and interfaces optimized for industrial data acquisition and control systems.

DustIQ, the revolutionary soiling alert system!
As you will no doubt be ware soiling of solar panels has a great impact on the plant’s performance.
You may already know that Kipp & Zonen has a new product called DustIQ. As its name suggests DustIQ monitors real-time the soiling of your solar panels via a revolutionary system based on unique Optical Soiling Measurement (OSM).
DustIQ enables you to schedule a cleaning run when it is most beneficial and cost-effective. So DustIQ helps you decide when to clean your solar panels and thus to maximize the performance ratio of your plant.
DustIQ is a smart solution, especially in comparison with traditional systems with a reference PV panel that you have to keep clean all the time. A clear benefit of DustIQ is that it does not require any maintenance; just clean DustIQ when you clean the arrays of solar panels it is monitoring.
