INTERSOLAR EUROPE 2020 IS CANCELLED In 2020 the Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition and conference for the solar industry, will be held from 17 – 19 June. As usual Intersolar Europe will take place at the Messe München exhibition center in Munich, Germany. OTT HydroMet’s Meteorological Division, represented by Kipp & Zonen and Lufft, will be participating in this key event. Will you be attending again this year? We look forward to welcoming you at our booth!

From June 17 to 19
Location: Munich, Germany

About Intersolar Europe

Intersolar Europe is where you find more expertise in one place than anywhere else. The event’s exhibition and conference both focus on the areas of photovoltaics, solar thermal technologies, solar plants, as well as grid infrastructure and solutions for the integration of renewable energy. Intersolar was founded over 28 years ago and during this period it has become the most important industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers and partners of the solar industry.

In parallel to the exhibition, from June 16 to 17, you can attend 4 different conferences, i.e. ees Europe ConferencePower2Drive Europe Conference and Smart Renewable Systems Conference. Some of the topics to be discussed are the increasing importance of pv power plants, which markets will be relevant in the future, innovations in BIPV, new business models and financing, floating installations and agrophotovoltaics.

OTT HydroMet represented by Kipp & Zonen and Lufft

At Intersolar Europe Kipp & Zonen will represent OTT HydroMet together with Lufft . Kipp & Zonen is the specialist in the measurement of solar and sky radiation and provides class-leading instruments used in meteorological networks around the world, while Lufft is a well-known producer of professional components and systems for climate and environmental measurements. Our combined know-how and experience enables us to offer complete solutions for your applications. At Intersolar Europe our expertise will be at your disposal and our high quality measuring instruments will be on display. Check out some of our measurement solutions described below.

All weather conditions and soiling monitored

We are pleased to announce that combined engineering of Kipp & Zonen and Lufft  has resulted in the ‘perfect set-up’ for determining the actual impact of environmental conditions on solar power generation. This perfect set-up combines instruments for the measurement of GHI and POA irradiance, wind speed and direction, air temperature, module temperature and soiling.

We offer measuring instruments for all weather parameters that effect your plant’s performance ratio. Our smart pyranometers, compact weather stations and DustIQ soiling monitoring system can send all data directly to your site management system, using the Modbus® communication protocol.

WS600-UMB Smart Weather Sensor

WS600-UMB Smart Weather Sensor is a compact all-in-one weather sensor with integrated ventilated radiation protection for measuring air temperature, relative humidity, precipitation intensity, precipitation type, precipitation quantity, air pressure, wind direction and wind speed.

Highlights of this Smart Weather Sensor are: all-in-one weather sensor, low power, heater, aspirated radiation shield, maintenance-free operation and an open communication protocol. WS600 has various interfaces, i.e. RS485 with supported protocols UMB-Binary, UMB-ASCII, Modbus-RTU, Modbus-ASCII, XDR and SDI-12.

DustIQ, the revolutionary soiling alert system

Off all elements that influence a plant’s performance soiling has the largest impact. Still, cleaning all the arrays of PV panels of an average solar plant is a labor intensive and costly exercise, even if you use an automated robot system. Until now all you could do is clean your panels at regular intervals. But today there is better alternative!

DustIQ enables you to schedule a cleaning run when it is most beneficial and cost-effective.
DustIQ is a smart solution, especially in comparison with traditional systems with a reference PV panel that needs to be kept clean all the time. A clear benefit of DustIQ is that it does not require any maintenance; just clean DustIQ when you clean the arrays of solar panels it is monitoring.

GHI and POA pyranometers

Knowing the solar irradiance, both horizontal and tilted, is key to decision making in asset management and O&M. Our Smart pyranometers are a perfect match for solar energy systems as these instruments have digital signal processing and interfaces optimized for industrial data acquisition and control systems.

Razon+

Last but not least we would like to draw your attention to our innovative, user-friendly and affordable all-in-one measuring solution, RaZON+. RaZON+, is a turnkey solution providing all components of solar irradiance, such as Direct Normal (DNI), Diffuse Horizontal (DHI) and calculated Global Horizontal (GHI), as well as sunshine duration. Particularly interesting features of RaZON+ are the maintenance free Gear Drive sun tracker and the anti-soiling Smart pyrheliometer design. For more details please check:  http://www.kippzonen.com/RaZON

The Kipp & Zonen portfolio also includes instruments such as the SOLYS sun tracker equipped with CHP1 or SHP1 pyrheliometers , constituting a rugged all-in one solar radiation monitoring system.

Particularly for commercial rooftops we designed the RT1 PV monitoring system.

Welcome to booth B2.483!

At OTT HydroMet it is Customers talk, We listen. So we do hope you’ll find your way to our booth as we are excited to hear about your particular application; about your ideas on solar radiation measurement, on soiling of solar panels and on the measurement of any other weather parameters. We need your feedback to fulfil your present and future requirements and to meet the expectations of the renewable energy industry. Of course we will also be there for you to answer your questions, inform you about our instruments and help you select the best possible measurement solution for your application.
