3rd iLEAPS Science Conference

3rd iLEAPS Science Conferenceevent picture
The Integrated Land Ecosystem-Atmospheric Processes Study (iLEAPS), a core project of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP), is organising its 3rd Science Conference in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The event addresses land-atmosphere interactions from integrated observational, modelling, and human influence points of view. It will facilitate international scientific collaboration as well as distribution of results to scientists, policy makers, and public audiences.

From September 18 to 23
Location: Germany, Garmisch-Partenkirchen

The iLEAPS Science Conference is a perfect opportunity for Kipp & Zonen to display our instruments for land-atmosphere such as the new LAS MkII Large Aperture Scintillometer and the PQS 1 PAR Quantum Sensor. We will have these on show, along with instruments for the measurement of solar radiation, radiation balance and far infrared radiation. We welcome you at our booth, number 21, on the ground floor just in front of the main lecture hall of the 3rd iLEAPS Science Conference.

iLEAPS organises three events: Science Conference, Early-Career Scientist Workshop (ECSW), and Post-Conference Workshop (PCW). The conference will consist of plenary lectures and invited speeches given by prominent scientists in LEAP (Land Ecosystem – Atmosphere Processes) research, poster sessions, and an Early-Career Scientist programme.  This event provides an exciting platform for presenting and discussing the latest scientific developments in the area of land-atmosphere interactions. It also provides an opportunity for cross-fertilization among the next generation of Earth System models and innovative observational approaches, crucial for addressing present and future climate and global change challenges.

The themes of the conference, the two workshops, and additional satellite events will include land-ecosystem observation and modelling; innovative methods, ideas and challenges in ecosystem-atmosphere interactions; and human drivers and impacts of ecosystem-atmosphere interactions.

We hope to meet you there. If you would like to schedule an appointment with our product manager during the Science Conference please contact us.
