We are happy to introduce our new distributor for the Netherlands: Bakker & Co. B.V..
Bakker, established in 1925, is a technical service company specialized in the consultation, supply and maintenance & service in meteorology and climatology. Its team consists of specialized sales engineers. The service department performs maintenance and repair jobs in house and on site.
Currently, Bakker mainly sells meteorological instruments for industrial applications, and to some meteorological institutes. The driving force for these industrial applications is the implementation of the measured data in several kinds of automated systems. Some examples are; disaster and emergency measurements in the process industry, wind warning systems, wind energy, naval weather systems and building automation.
As Benelux-distributor for Wilh. Lambrecht, there already was an indirect link to Kipp & Zonen’s radiation sensors. The partnership with Bakker will enable Kipp & Zonen to get a strong foothold in the Dutch market for renewable energy. The industrial customer base of Bakker and its existing sales team offer an interesting opportunity to boost the sales of Kipp & Zonen in this developing market.
