In Photovoltaics often the question is asked; why use a pyranometer? Or what is the benefit of a pyranometer over a reference cell? To give answers to these questions we have created a 3-page document with the advantages of a pyranometer compared to a reference cell.
The document also includes a summary of reasons to measure solar radiation and some frequently asked questions regarding the mounting of a pyranometer.
