What brings you to our head office in Delft, the Netherlands?
“For me, the success of collaboration between two companies lies in the relationship between them. E-mails are collected in a black box where thoughts are sent to each other. But, they can only come together when you meet face to face. I am not only here to get to know the products, but also the company and its employees. And, of course, to let Kipp & Zonen know more about BK Consimpex. The product knowledge obtained will help us to better market your products in the Indian and surrounding markets.”
What do you do at BK Consimpex?
“I joined BK Consimpex in 1992 and since 2002 I have been the General Manager for Projects. This includes a great variety of responsibilities, ranging from pre-sales research to implementation and installation, followed by after sales support as well. Communication is very important in my job, with both suppliers and customers. I have some years of experience now and feel that it’s important to share that experience with the younger generation. However, young people move fast and I really hope they value my efforts in their further careers.”
What is BK Consimpex’s main challenge for the coming years, when it comes to marketing Kipp & Zonen instruments?
“The Indian government has come out with a comprehensive document called the National Solar Mission. This is an ambitious plan by the Government of India to generate 20,000 Megawatts of power with solar energy in the next 12 years. Together with the Kipp & Zonen specialists we will investigate the possibilities in this concept and formulate advice to the Indian government. We believe that the government’s mission could benefit from the solutions we can offer together.
As a spin-off, we are starting to see an increase in inquiries from national solar power plant projects. We believe that the best way to create sustainable business is to invest in value added services to our customers. We will strive to provide the best services for both big tender projects and the small entrepreneurs of India.
Consimpex is a company of integrity. Intelligence and honesty go together and adding value is our key to success. We are proud to be associated with Kipp & Zonen and, with its products in our portfolio, will take good care of creating a sustainable position in our local markets. The company started in 1989 with data storage media products from BASF GmbH and has diversified into the fields of Satellite & Remote Sensing and Weather Forecasting. Kipp & Zonen’s products compliment our range of meteorological equipment. We are now able to offer the full package with solutions on a turn-key basis.”
What are your impressions of the 3 days training at the Kipp & Zonen head office?
“A lot of things are now clear about the products and the company. The focus at Kipp & Zonen lies on product quality and that is a very good sign for us as a distributor. I now understand the company’s views to a great extent. I really admire your working environment and it is quite special to experience this.”
