These products are eligible for a 5 year warranty:
- All CMP pyranometers; CMP3, CMP6, CMP10, CMP11, CMP21 and CMP22
- All Smart SMP pyranometers; SMP3, SMP6, SMP10, SMP11, SMP21 and SMP22
- Both our pyrheliometers; CHP1 and the Smart SHP1
- All pyrgeometers; CGR3, CGR4, SGR3 and SGR4
- Our Total UV radiometers; CUV5 and SUV5
- RaZON+ radiometers PR1 and PH1
Reliable, accurate and durable
We are convinced that our instruments are of the highest quality and our customers often tell us this. We also see it every time we perform instrument services and calibrations.
Michael van Alebeek from our support teams says: “For recalibration, we often receive products more than 20 years old that are still performing within the specs! The other day we calibrated for a well-known research institute in Germany a CM11 pyranometer made in 1992. Thanks to ongoing good maintenance and regular calibrations we only had to inspect it, clean the dome, calibrate it and send it back to the customer good as new.”
Good care and maintenance will benefit a longer reliable operating life for your instruments; such as cleaning the dome or window, regularly checking and replacing the desiccant (of instruments that require it) and a bi-annual calibration.
For the warranty extension to 5 years to be valid we do require that a recalibration is carried out within the third year after purchase at a facility approved by Kipp & Zonen. We will help you to keep your Kipp & Zonen instrument performing at a high quality level and you can always contact our support team for questions and advice on maintenance.

Select a product name by typing in the search field and then fill in the required information on each page. You can register multiple products on the same form. After agreeing with the terms and conditions you can submit the form.
You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your free extension of the standard 2-year warranty to 5 years.
