Whitepaper Library for news on research, product development and standardsarticle picture
Published: Wednesday, April 22, 2020 In these corona dominated times we were thinking of ways to reach out to you and to offer you some interesting reading. So, we decided to set up a Whitepaper Library to share our expertise and specialist knowledge with you on a series of topics relevant for the solar energy industry.

In recent years we have published various whitepapers, but these are not always very easy to find. Our new Whitepaper Library offers an overview of all whitepapers published from 2017 onwards.

To give you a taste of what you can expect to find in the whitepapers, here are some of the topics addressed:

Bifacial Photovoltaics on the Rise

This whitepaper provides a summary of the current trends and research relating to the exponentially growing bifacial PV technology. As you would expect, accurate measurement of irradiance offers some challenges when it comes to the backside of the PV modules.

Solar Energy International Standards

Recently a new set of international standards was defined for the solar energy industry. This whitepaper offers information on the most important IEC and ISO standards relating to performance monitoring of solar energy plants, the classification of pyranometers and pyrheliometers; and on calibration.

Solar Module Soiling

DustIQ measures soiling of PV modules. But what exactly is soiling and how does it influence PV plant performance and loss of yield? We have captured the insights on soiling gained during the development of DustIQ in a whitepaper. This whitepaper explains what soiling actually is, how it is distributed, what the effect of different colors of soiling is, and how it affects PV cells, modules, arrays and strings.
