Kipp & Zonen SMP10x Pyranometer
Kipp & Zonen SMP10x Pyranometer

Kipp & Zonen SMP10x Pyranometer

Product Number: 0374950
Spectrally flat Class A pyranometer with advanced sensor technology, digital connectivity and a low‑maintenance design.

Overview

The SMP10x is a Spectrally Flat Class A pyranometer that combines advanced sensor technology with low maintenance. The SMP10x has an internal drying cartridge that will last for at least 10 years if the housing is not opened and a maximum calibration interval of 5 years. This minimizes maintenance significantly.

The interval for dome cleaning can be extended, and the quality and accuracy of the irradiance measurements maximized, by fitting SMP10x with the CVF4 ventilation unit, which helps prevent dust build-up on the dome and protects it against dew and frost.

The SMP10x has a Modbus® interface, extended stability ratings, and comprehensive inetrnal diagnostics. The wide input power supply range from 5 to 30 VDC makes integration in meteorological and solar energy stations easy. The SMP10x is protected against reversed polarity. The SMP10x is fully backwards compatible with all SMP10 legacy models used in digital-only systems.

The Kipp & Zonen SmartExplorer Windows™ can be used for configuring and testing.

Benefits

Easy integration and data monitoring

Modern devices support simple installation, maintenance, and real-time data logging/communication.

Complete solar radiation insight

Measures the total solar radiation (direct + diffuse + reflected) over a wide spectral range.

Long-term reliability in harsh conditions

Designed for durability and long-term stability, maintaining accuracy even under extreme weather conditions.

High‑accuracy solar measurement

Provides highly accurate and precise measurement of solar radiation, detecting even small variations in irradiance.
