Repairs to obsolete radiometers

It has been the  Kipp & Zonen  product support policy for many years to support all goods manufactured for a period of at least seven years from the date of invoice.

One of the support activities is repairing damaged radiometers.

As it is getting harder to source spare parts for the older radiometers that Kipp & Zonen has produced over the last 80 years, we are forced to announce the phasing out of all repairs to radiometer models that are more than 10 years out of production.

What does this mean?

  1. This is only applicable to models that have been taken out of production more than 10 years ago; such as the CM, CH and CG series instruments.
  2. Service and calibration of most of these radiometers will still be possible, including providing temperature and directional tests.
  3. Some repairs may still be possible for a limited time, subject to parts availability, and this will be assessed by the service department.
